About Us
- Newbridge Day Nursery is located just outside of Oswestry in a completely refurbished building with fantastic new facilities. The nursery is set in its own grounds, in a rural and peaceful surroundings. We have car parks at the front and rear of the building for exclusive use of staff, parents and carers.
- We offer full day care as well as sessional care and strive to offer the greatest possible flexibilty to cater for the needs of parents. We have five individually designed rooms to cater for the needs of all our children from 3 months upwards. We also provide after school and holiday care.
- We have 17 staff, each qualified and experienced in all aspects of child care practice, providing a safe and secure environment in which children can grow socially, emotionally, creatively and intellectually as well as physically.
- We offer pre-school education to all children incorporating a wide range of theme based activities and creative facilities to encourage and stimulate development. We are registered with the local authority and also OFSTED for the education of pre-school children. Our pre-school activities fall in line with Foundation Stage and Early Learning Goals. The Key Worker system is in place throughout the Nursery and a child is allocated to a different Key Worker when as they move through each room in the Nursery. Key Workers build a relationship with the child and their family.
- Careful records of every child's development and progress are kept in their individual "All About" EYFS file. This file is available for parents and carers to take home and make further contributions in the form of photographs, pictures and written information recording interests and progress.
- In addition, we use The Shropshire Individual Child Tracking Record document to highlight progress from the age of three which will continue on into school with each child.
- We recognise that parents and carers are the main educators of their children and therefore your views and wishes will be taken into consideration when placing your child with us. Rest assured that your consent will always be sought with regard to your child's development needs.
- We have endeavoured to provide a homely atmosphere with more individual care for our small children, to provide an extension of the home environment. We provide separate facilities for babies and older children.
- Our play areas and gardens are available to all children with hard surfaces for games and sit and ride toys. We also have our own market garden.
